Of Counsel

Our San Antonio office has an opportunity for an Of Counsel to join the firm?s dynamic and long-established practice and represent premier local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are proactive and passionate about assuming a high-level role providing legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant and leading role in all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, educational institutions and opposing counsel. Duties include, but are not limited to, the primary handling of the defense of administrative charges, agency investigations, and some litigation matters with minimal shareholder oversight, while also providing significant support to shareholders in complex litigation matters; the ability to provide some advice and counsel for clients and to conduct investigations to align with the candidate?s experience and education. Requirements Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice; Candidates must possess 7+ years of litigation experience with at least four of those years involving labor and employment litigation; Experience practicing in federal court is required; We expect this attorney to provide excellent written and analytical work and to contribute to a respectful, collegial office environment.
