Job Description
Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to patients
Perform routine procedures such as Venipuncture, Blood pressure, Wound care, bandages
Calculate drugs and administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
Induction of anesthesia, monitor critical patients during surgery and recovery
Take appropriate radiographs for each body area and submit for consult in timely manner
Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
Set up and administer blood products and antivenom
Maintain accurate records of patient care
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a veterinary technician program or certification encouraged
Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital for 2 years
Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Proficient in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
