Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Network Monitoring Tool Administrator. ?This is a full-time position based in New Carrollton, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Managing the configuration and operation of the enterprise network management tool (NNMi) for event notifications
• Responsible for server and application maintenance including backups, failovers, upgrades, and patches
• Responsible for the overall health of the network management tool and associated hardware
• Diagnose problems with the network monitoring tool and its environment and prepare an action plan to resolve the problem and communicate that plan to management
• Generate regular system status reports detailing the health and accuracy of the network monitoring tool
• Troubleshoot all problems with the network monitoring system
• Monitor the health of the system
• Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure all are current on the status of the network monitoring system
• Recommend improvement of the system monitoring infrastructure
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience in managing and maintaining an infrastructure network monitoring tool that generates and distributes voice messages to a large user base
• At least 3 years' experience managing and maintaining network monitoring tools (i.e. SolarWinds)
• Linux Admin experience
• Candidate must have the ability to work as part of an operations team and be able to support multiple tasks at the same time.
• MS Server administration including software upgrades, hardware and software issue resolution and configuration. Security patching is required on a continual basis.
• Disaster Recovery system implementation and testing
