Under the direction of MRI staff and administrators, the MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams following established imaging protocols. What You'll Do:
- Perform MRI exams with consistency and accuracy, ensuring high-quality imaging outcomes.
- Conduct patient identification and screening to ensure MRI safety, including reviewing forms and obtaining thorough patient histories.
- Educate patients on procedures, ensuring a clear understanding of the exam process and addressing any concerns.
- Position patients appropriately and set up protocols tailored to each scan.
- Administer intravenous contrast injections per NYS certification, with knowledge of age-specific dosing guidelines.
- Review images for diagnostic quality, proper technique, and correct labeling using PACS systems.
- Manage billing and patient tracking through EPIC.
- Maintain compliance with departmental policies, ACR standards, and NYSDOH guidelines.
- Perform QA procedures and support research projects in collaboration with physicians.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized MRI suite.
- Support and collaborate with fellow team members to ensure seamless departmental workflow.
- Take initiative to perform additional duties as needed to support patient care and departmental goals.
Requirements
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent education/experience.
- ARRT Certification (R).
- ARRT Board Certification in MRI or eligibility.
- NYS-approved Contrast Injection Certification.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross).
Preferred:
- Two years of MRI experience or clinical MRI training.

- Hourly Salary:$40.00 - $53.00
- Full-time.
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday with overtime.
