Job Description


The Aircraft Mission Planning Specialist will oversee the management of mission planning computer systems, including the preparation, execution, and debriefing of complex AATC missions across new, updated, and legacy material systems. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless integration of mission planning with real-time operational execution. The Specialist will collaborate closely with aircrew and test engineers to facilitate high-priority missions, ensuring adherence to testing protocols and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and operate mission planning computer systems to prepare for and execute complex missions.
  • Oversee mission loads, ensuring accurate data input and configuration for effective mission execution.
  • Conduct debriefs and downloads post-mission to analyze performance, identify areas for improvement, and compile feedback for future missions.
  • Work in tandem with aircrew and test engineers during high-priority missions to ensure real-time operational effectiveness and address any issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate training activities related to mission planning and execution for aircrew and ground personnel.
  • Maintain documentation related to mission planning processes and outcomes to support continuous improvement and compliance with military standards.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Extensive experience in mission planning and execution within military aviation or aerospace environments.
  • Strong familiarity with mission planning computer systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with aircrew and engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for debriefing and analyzing mission outcomes to inform future operations.
  • Active Secret Clearance
