Medical Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting their medical history.
• Assist physicians during examinations and surgical procedures by ensuring the availability of required instruments.
• Perform laboratory tests and assist with the collection and preparation of specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in all dealings.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient communications effectively.
• Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and post-procedure care.
• Ensure exam rooms are properly maintained and stocked with appropriate supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related healthcare position.
• Understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to dermatology.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for effective patient interactions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with care.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software.
