Do you want fast paced, exciting design work in a great engineering environment Presco is seeking a Mechanical Engineering contractor to work with our design teams in bio-medical electronics, scientific instruments, drop-on-demand printers, power conversion, high power lasers, handheld spectrometers and a host of other electronic product development cycles.
Many prominent technology companies outsource their most difficult projects to us. That's because these big firms are incredibly risk averse. Fearing failure, they won't try anything new or difficult, so they outsource the really fun jobs. That's where Presco comes in. We?ve been taking on these exciting projects for 45 years. Requirements
- Use SolidWorks to design mechanical systemscomprising sheet metal, molded, machined and cast parts
- Evaluate mechanical, optomechanical andelectromechanical systems by designing and conducting testing; applyingprinciples of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, andmaterials
- Confirm system and product capabilities bydeveloping testing methods
- Develop manufacturing processes by designing andmodifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installingcomponents
- Follow engineering standards and best practices tosupport project objectives
- Implement assigned tasks on a timely basis in afast-paced environment
- Provide detailed engineering documentation
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
We are seeking candidates who have completed a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
