Mechanic (Nights)

Prestage Farms is looking for enthusiastic and detail oriented Entry-Level Mechanics to join our team for our night shift. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both gas and diesel vehicles, to ensure that they are fully functional. This position requires a person that has good eye-hand coordination with excellent problem-solving abilities; as well as, knowledgeable in electronical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair of general automotive gasoline and diesel vehicles.
• Preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, engine tune ups, etc.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical problems
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a safe and orderly work area.
• Maintain and repair vehicles in a timely manner.
• Follow company policies and procedures for vehicle repairs and safety.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in automotive repair or related field is a plus.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and mechanical repairs.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills in automotive repair.

• The ability to write, read, count, add, subtract, and apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Must possess a valid NC class C driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• minimum age of 18
• must be able to lift/move materials/equipment's up to 90lbs.
• Strong work ethnic and reliability.
