Mechanic III

Are you a budding mechanic with a keen interest in both traditional and emerging automotive technologies? At MCI, we're looking for Mechanic III team members to join our dynamic Service Center, where you'll play a key role in maintaining our diverse fleet of buses and coaches. This entry-level position is perfect for those with 1-3 years of experience in the automotive or diesel industries, and who are eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Basic Maintenance and Repairs : Perform routine maintenance tasks such as brake changes, tire rotations, and replacements. Conduct preventative maintenance including lubrication and oil changes.
• Component Disassembly and Reassembly : Assist in the removal and installation of seats, glass, and other components. Disassemble and reconnect harnesses and lines as needed for repairs.
• Suspension and Braking Systems : Support suspension maintenance tasks, including the replacement of suspension components, and perform basic inspections and repairs on braking systems.
• Electrical Systems and Diagnostics : Develop your skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, ensuring all components function correctly and efficiently.
• Safety and Precision : Adhere to all safety practices, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of all tools and materials.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Technical Expertise : 0-3 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields. Familiarity with engine, driveline, and electrical systems is preferred.
• Tool Proficiency : Basic knowledge of hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Willingness to learn advanced diagnostic devices and shop tools.
• Safety and Collaboration : Strong understanding of safety practices and effective use of personal protective equipment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Growth Mindset : Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills through our MCI Training Program and other professional development opportunities.
