Job purpose

The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

This position will transport material or other goods in such a way as to allow the continuous flow of products throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

Unload/Load trucks

Verify quantity loading/unloading is accurate.

Ensure paperwork and labelling is correct.

Scan parts for receipt/delivery as required.

Stage material for put away/pickup.

Reviews assembly build requirements.

Picks and stages parts for delivery to the production areas in such a manner that ensures that the correct quantity of the part is delivered to the correct place.

Delivers material from the warehouse to the production areas and vice versa.

Provides support to the decant areas.

Drives forklift or operates other power equipment to transport a variety of materials, parts, or products.

Use SAP to put away parts and to pick them from warehouse locations.

Notifies supervisor regarding inventory shortages/discrepancies.

Stacks materials in designated area.

Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies.

Communicate and enforce safe work procedures.

Identify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection and investigation findings) and their corrective actions.

Understands and adheres to current quality and control policies.

Perform other duties as needed.

What we're looking for

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licensed to operate forklift.

Must have previous experience in a warehouse environment.

Minimum of two years of related experience supporting manufacturing operations.

Must be computer literate and have the ability to perform basic MS Windows / SAP operating tasks.

Attendance on the job is essential.

Must be able to work in a team environment.

Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.

This position will adhere to the BorgWarner Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Team Lead immediately.
