Material Advisor

Eram Talent is excited to announce an opening for a Material Advisor in the Oil & Energy sector. In this role, you will oversee the procurement and management of materials essential to our projects, ensuring that all specifications are met and timelines adhered to. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and success of our operations.

If selected, the work location would be in Saudi Arabia.

• Oversee procurement processes from requisition to delivery.
• Provides technical support as required and assists in the preparation of the material procurement plan.
• Identifies, reviews, and monitors priority, long lead, and other required material, and ensures the proper coordination with other project disciplines to meet all procurement milestone dates.
• Must have thorough knowledge of procurement/materials practices, economic principles, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Maintain inventory control, ensuring adequate supply levels.
• Collaborate with project managers to align material needs with project timelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Evaluate material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Generate reports on material status and procurement efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in material management, preferably within the Oil & Energy sector.
• Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and has material procurement experience on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and practices.
• Proficient in using ERP software, particularly SAP.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
