Manufacturing Director

Position: Director Manufacturing

Location: Sheboygan, WI

Fortune 200 client is seeking a Manufacturing Site Director to lead and manage their 24/7/365 dairy production facility. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including safety, quality, sanitation, cost control, customer service, milk receiving, cheesemaking, and the production of sweet whey powder. The Manufacturing Site Director will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, and ensure the site meets or exceeds business targets while supporting the growth of the Dairy Foods division.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall direction and accountability for plant operations and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency to meet company objectives.
• Manage milk receiving, cheesemaking, and whey powder production processes.
• Lead initiatives in employee development and engagement, fostering a strong team-oriented culture.
• Oversee financial performance, including budget management and cost savings initiatives.
• Successfully navigate union environments, including contract negotiations and labor relations.
• Implement transformational changes to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve site culture.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in food/beverage manufacturing, with a proven ability to manage managers and deliver sustainable results.
• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent acceptable with significant food manufacturing experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated success in union environments, labor relations, and contract negotiations.
• Strong track record in driving manufacturing transformations and culture change.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial management and budgeting within a manufacturing environment.
