We are searching for a Manufacturing Controller responsible for providing financial leadership and accounting management for our growing manufacturing division. This person will interact heavily with both plant and corporate personnel and must have a proven track record of successfully leading an accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall monthly close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations
• Provide financial information by preparing reports and provide recommendations on how to drive financial performance improvement
• Advise on technical accounting matters with a specialization in manufacturing accounting
• Lead special projects to improve accounting process efficiencies
• Monitor bill of materials and work order accuracy
• Perform inventory aging review and collaborate cross functionally to monitor inventory levels
• Responsible for overseeing the accuracy of inventory balances
• Perform monthly financial review variance analysis and present financials to leadership
• Oversee physical inventories and cycle counts processes to ensure inventory accuracy
• Review and monitor capital expenditure transactions for accuracy
• Maintain/implement controls in accounting process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
• Minimum 5 years in managing accounting teams
• Minimum 7 years in Manufacturing Accounting
• Strong analytic abilities and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Travel requirement 25%
• NetSuite experience preferred
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• System implementation experience preferred
• M&A experience preferred
