Prime Air is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to assist in maintenance and routine service of our remote controlled devices. The qualified candidate will require mechanical skills, electrical integration skills and assembly experience. You will be part of a larger development effort working independently in a highly collaborative environment.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon?s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Basic Qualifications

Mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience

Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical, software

Experience in installation of sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files

Able to perform precision work with hand tools

2 years experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software issues in industry or military

Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Valid Driver?s License and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria

Willingness to travel up to 75% of the year

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Microsoft Office and Linux

Familiar with Python or other scripting languages

Experience creating CAD files based on loose specifications

Excellent business communications, analytical, and reporting skills

Able to work with minimal supervision and with ambiguity

Experience in aerospace or robotics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $145,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
