Job Summary:

This

Logistics Manager (3rd Shift)

role manages the day-to-day operations of the outbound shipping of a large distribution facility. This role oversees 22-24 hourly and 2 salaried employees.

This role is in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation

Shift : Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am

This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules

What You Will Do:

Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations employees; managing, motivating, and developing teams.

Overseeing outbound shipping dock operations and processes, ensuring that safety, schedules, and performance requirements are met, and resources are used effectively.

Driving improvements for overall operations performance and implementing safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.

Inspires continuous improvement of logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning

What You Have (Required Skills):

Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Relationship Management : Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Employee Development : Ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop employees to achieve business unit results.

Effective Collaboration : Ability to actively listen, communicate, and share knowledge and information to drive continuous improvement and conflict resolution across the value streams.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

Previous experience leading and coaching diverse teams

Knowledge of EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)

Prior experience in Distribution or Logistics

Degree or equivalent experience desired

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
