LOCUM NP/PA - Emergency Medicine

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a Locum position to join our dynamic Emergency Medicine team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality treatment and exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies.

Initiate and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing procedures as appropriate.

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.

Educate patients and families about health conditions and preventive care strategies.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practice guidelines.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).

Stay current with medical advancements and evidence-based practices in emergency medicine.

Qualifications:

Current NP or PA licensure in [Insert State].

Certification from an accredited NP or PA program.

ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.

Previous experience in emergency medicine or urgent care setting preferred.
