Locum Cardiovascular Surgeon

The Locum Cardiovascular Surgeon is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon who provides temporary coverage for the Cardiovascular Surgery department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiovascular surgery principles and techniques and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide temporary coverage for the Cardiovascular Surgery department as needed
• Perform a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including:
• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
• Valve repair and replacement
• Aortic aneurysm repair
• Peripheral vascular surgery
• Preoperative evaluation and postoperative care of patients
• Consult with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in cardiovascular surgery
• Participate in research and education activities

Qualifications:

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in cardiovascular surgery
• 5+ years of experience as a cardiovascular surgeon
• Strong clinical and technical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
