Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon

The Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon is a highly skilled and experienced physician who provides temporary, short-term coverage for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiothoracic surgery and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, and lung resections
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
• Manage patient medical records and ensure accurate documentation
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in cardiothoracic surgery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery
• 5+ years of experience as a cardiothoracic surgeon
• Excellent surgical skills and judgment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid medical license in the state of employment
