Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist

The Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist is a highly skilled and experienced physician who provides anesthesia services for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiac physiology and pharmacology, as well as experience in managing complex cardiac cases.

Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia services for patients undergoing cardiac surgery, including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative care
• Collaborate with surgeons and other members of the surgical team to develop and implement anesthesia plans
• Monitor patients' vital signs and make adjustments to anesthesia as needed
• Respond to and manage anesthesia-related emergencies
• Educate patients and their families about anesthesia and the risks and benefits of surgery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in cardiac anesthesia
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
• Fellowship in cardiac anesthesia
• At least 5 years of experience as a cardiac anesthesiologist
• Strong understanding of cardiac physiology and pharmacology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
