Job Description

Please send cover letter and resume to careers@cohenseglias.com. The paralegal position performs a variety of duties in an effort to support attorneys through trial, arbitration and mediation. The paralegal assists in overall case/project management, including all aspects of the litigation discovery process ? e.g., document/ESI collection and preservation, document review and production, fact investigation, and deposition preparation tasks, among others. The paralegal works closely with attorneys to coordinate scheduling, draft discovery, assist with pleadings, motions and briefs, draft litigation status reports, draft correspondence, and prepare documents for trial. In addition to having the ability to use one or more electronic-discovery tools/ document-review platforms, candidates should have both a conceptual and functional understanding of the e-discovery process ? including best practices regarding the identification, preservation, and collection of potentially relevant ESI, active involvement with data culling and processing, and methods to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the review, analysis, and quality-control work that must be performed prior to the production of responsive documents/data to outside parties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 plus years of law firm litigation support experience.
