Job Description


Akin Gump?s Los Angeles litigation practice group seeks an associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation. Candidate must have experience with all aspects of commercial litigation in California state and federal court, including drafting and responding to complaints, having lead responsibility for drafting responses todiscovery, having lead responsibility for the drafting of all relevant pre-trial motions including demurrers/motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and discovery-related motions. Candidate musthave strong research and writing skills. Meaningful experience taking and defending depositions and/or experience with trial and trial preparation is a significant plus. Stellar academic credentials and comparable law firm experience required.
