Lighting Controls Specialist

• Design lighting/photometric, configure, and implement lighting control systems, ensuring effective integration with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Conduct assessments to ensure compliance with California Title 24 standards and other relevant codes.
• Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, to develop and implement lighting controls solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with lighting control systems to maintain optimal performance and compliance.
• Perform testing, validation, and commissioning of lighting systems to ensure proper functionality and alignment with client specifications.
• Provide technical support to clients, assisting them with system configuration and usage.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, including Title 24 regulations, and emerging trends in lighting controls and integration technologies.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience working with lighting control systems, particularly in integrating these systems with BMS.
• Strong knowledge of California Title 24 energy standards and their application to lighting control systems.
• Experience with lighting control software and systems (e.g., DALI, DMX, Lutron, nLight, WattStopper, Greengate etc.).
• Familiarity with common protocols for BMS integration, such as BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project teams and providing client support.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Automation, or a related field.
• Certification or training in lighting controls or BMS systems is a plus.

Pay Rate: $30-$40/hr. DOE.
