Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides one-on-one pediatric healthcare nursing services to medically fragile students during school hours, including travel time via school bus when necessary. Assist with direct care based on physician's orders and individualized healthcare plans, ensuring student safety and well-being.

- Education: Diploma/Certificate from an accredited LPN program.
- Licensure: Active LPN license in Georgia.; Current CPR/AED certification .
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (pediatrics/school setting preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Tracheotomy care, oxygen administration, medication administration.
- Training in FERPA, mandated child abuse reporting, and infection control .
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork with educators, and attention to detail.
- Assist with administering medications and performing prescribed medical procedures.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document students' medical status.
- Collaborate with teachers/staff to share health-related updates.
- Maintain strict confidentiality ( FERPA/HIPAA compliance ).
- Participate in annual District Health Services orientation.
