We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure that supports our fast-paced development environment. You will lead a team of DevOps engineers, driving best practices and automation across the software delivery lifecycle. This role requires deep expertise in AWS and Terraform , as well as a strong background in CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud-native architecture.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS.
- Lead the development and maintenance of Terraform modules to provision infrastructure as code across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline deployment pipelines using CI/CD best practices.
- Optimize cloud costs and performance through effective monitoring, auto-scaling, and resource management.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for all cloud infrastructure and services.
- Enforce security and compliance standards by automating security checks and audits.
- Manage configuration management tools and automation scripts for repeatable environment builds.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and serve as the subject matter expert for AWS and Terraform within the team.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance system performance and reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 712 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, VPC, and Route53.
- Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Solid grasp of networking, security groups, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
- Experience working in agile teams and a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or lead a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certifications.
- Experience managing infrastructure in a multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environment.
- Background in systems architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization on cloud platforms.
