Job Title: Lathe Retainer/Cylinder Operator
Location: Pontiac, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
What?s the Job?
Set up and operate manual and CNC lathe machines to fabricate retainers, cylinders, and related components.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate machining.
Monitor machining processes, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished products using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
What?s Needed?
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferred.
2+ years of experience operating lathe machines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, and precision measurement.
Ability to use various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Experience with CNC programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
