Lab Technician

Our client, a leader in the food industry, is seeking a Microbiology Technician - Quality to join their team. As a Microbiology Technician, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the overall safety and quality of food products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: St. Louis, MO

Pay Rate:

$19 - $21 /hr.

What's the Job?

Apply aseptic technique in all work conducted.

Document sample preparation, quality control, and analytical activities.

Prepare and analyze samples for pathogens, indicator organisms, probiotics, and other microbes.

Accurately perform testing methods and read testing results.

Complete required training to progress to more complex tasks.

What's Needed?

BS in Microbiology or a Life Science.

Knowledge of aseptic technique.

1+ years of laboratory experience in a commercial food testing analytical laboratory desirable but not required.

Knowledge of ISO 17025 or GLPs desirable but not required.

General knowledge and experience in microbiological testing desirable but not required.
