We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer with hands-on expertise in Apache Flink to join our fast-growing engineering team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, real-time data processing systems. This role demands a strong foundation in Java , proficiency in stream processing using Apache Flink , and a deep understanding of distributed systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant streaming data applications using Apache Flink and Java .
• Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and other developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement and optimize stream processing pipelines for high-volume, low-latency data processing.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable Java code with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
• Tune Flink jobs for optimal throughput and latency, manage checkpointing, state backends, watermarks, and windowing strategies.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across distributed environments.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to best practices for software development.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Stay up to date with industry trends in big data, stream processing, and Java development.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4 to 8 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java (Java 8 or above) .
• 2+ years of experience working with Apache Flink , including hands-on experience with Flink's DataStream and Table APIs.
• Solid understanding of streaming data architectures and concepts such as event time processing, watermarking, state management, and windowing.
• Experience with distributed systems, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with integrating Flink jobs into production pipelines with tools such as Kafka, Hadoop, or other data systems.
• Knowledge of build tools (Maven/Gradle), version control (Git), and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) for tracking job performance.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying streaming jobs in the cloud.
