IT Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide tier one technical support, troubleshooting issues and resolving technical problems efficiently.
• Systems Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and software configurations to maintain optimal system functionality.
• Hardware Support: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, printers, and other hardware components.
• Security Awareness Training: Manage our security best practices and cybersecurity awareness training.
• Mobile Device Management: Support and manage mobile devices to ensure secure and efficient access to company systems.
• Conferencing Support: Assist with setup and troubleshooting of conferencing software to enable smooth meetings and presentations.

Team Collaboration:

The IT Specialist will work in an office with the Marketing Operations team, and will interact with every department across the organization in order to support system initiatives and troubleshoot issues. This position is on-site in Lincoln, NE.

Requirements

• Technical Support Experience: Proven experience in a technical support role is essential to provide quality assistance and maintain system integrity.
• Team Player: The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others is key to supporting a positive workplace environment.
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail is critical when managing hardware, software configurations, and sensitive data.
• Multitasking Skills: Must be able to juggle multiple priorities and switch between tasks efficiently without losing focus.
• Accountability: A self-starter who takes personal responsibility for projects and deadlines, ensuring a high level of reliability and integrity.

Preferred Experience:

• Apple and Google Workspace Product Knowledge: Familiarity with managing Apple and Google products is highly preferred to support a mixed technology environment.
• Wireless Network Management: Experience in managing and troubleshooting wireless networks will help streamline connectivity support.
• Excel and Reporting: Advanced Excel skills are valuable for generating reports and tracking system performance.
• DNS Knowledge: Understanding of DNS management is beneficial for maintaining seamless network operations.
• Firewall Management: A history of monitoring and managing firewall settings is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

Once fully trained, the core responsibilities of the IT Specialist will take an estimated 20-30 hours per week. With the remaining time, the IT Specialist will also be expected to oversee one or more of the following areas based on their expertise:

• DNS & Domain Setups: Understand and manage rerouting domains to different servers to facilitate system go-lives.
• API Integration Support: Assist in the integration of RentVision's systems with third-party platforms.
• Front-End Web Development: Provide support for the creation and maintenance of client websites.
• DNI/Calling Tracking Support: Troubleshoot and resolve call tracking setup issues.

We are open to the specific mix of these additional responsibilities depending on the skills and experience of the candidate, but proficiency in at least one area is required.
