Investment Funds, Regulatory Associate

The New York office Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced associate with outstanding credentials and qualifications to work in join the Regulatory Solutions market-leading regulatory practice of the our Investment Funds Group, specializing in representation of registered and exempt investment advisers, and private U.S. and offshore investment funds. Requires Juris Doctor, Master of Law, or foreign equivalent. Requires admission to the New York State bar. Requires one to five years of Group. Our funds regulatory practice offers a dynamic experience working as an Associate in the Investment Management practice group of a global law firm. Prior experience must include advising ranging from assisting fund sponsors on the formation with fundraising and operation transactions to navigating SEC examination and enforcement matters. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of investment funds. Experience must include funds-related regulatory experience at a global law firm, including: reviewing offering materials, organizational documents materials and agreements, including private placement memoranda (PPM) and limited partner agreements (LPA). Experience fund governing documents; advising clients on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Experience applicable rules and regulations; preparing annual filings for submission to the SEC filings; and responding to examinations. Experience researching Strong familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 required; familiarity with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and preparing memoranda regarding Securities Act of 1933 preferred. Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York. Kirkland & Ellis LLP offers a competitive salary structure as well as a robust offering of benefits to all of its employees and attorneys. Compensation is based upon the regulation roles and operation responsibilities of private investment funds.the position, the experience and education of the applicant and/or employee and is aligned with internal pay equity within Kirkland & Ellis LLP itself. The hiring salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $260,000. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
