International Trade Partner

Porter Wright is seeking an International Trade Partner in any of our nine offices (Chicago, IL; Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati or Dayton, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Washington, DC; Tampa or Naples, FL). The ideal partner will be highly entrepreneurial, collegial, and possess at least a small book of business. Key experience and skills should include: Advising U.S. and foreign clients on regulatory requirements of investment in the U.S. and shepherding foreign investors through the U.S. government?s CFIUS review process. process Advising U.S. and foreign clients on the application of, and compliance with, U.S. Customs and other regulatory requirements related to the import of goods into the U.S. Familiarity with trade preference programs (USMCA, CAFTA, etc.) and application of trade remedies (AD/CVD, Sec. 301, etc.). ) Advising clients on the rules in the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the various sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
