JOB Title: MECHANIC TRAINEE

General summary of responsibilities:

Assist the Production Mechanics to maintain all mechanical and electrical machinery equipment in a medical device filters manufacturing department such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, slides, pistons, controls, sensors, timers, and testing equipment by performing the following duties. Performs all responsibilities and functions of an Assembler position.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Assist to perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, as defined by scheduled work orders, completed written record and utilizes computer systems for documentation and inventory usage.

Documents the maintenance and repair of in appropriate logs and databases.

Follows all applicable cGMP?s and CFR regulations.

Works in an ISO 8 (Class 100,000) clean room environment.

Performs routine and emergency mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic, maintenance.

Assists in troubleshooting repairs and replacements as required on machines to assure satisfactory operation.

Performs replacements of circular seals inserts, and change of Teflon tape on Jaws long seal stations.

Adjusts repairs and replaces defective parts.

Performs all functions related to the operation of the production drying ovens, and its maintenance.

Performs simple maintenance tasks, as lubrication of mechanical components.

Uses mechanical maintenance tools, equipment and machines as required.

Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Assists in problem solving situations relating to machinery and related equipment.

Assures that all company and regulatory policies, rules, and procedures are complied with at all times.

Lubricates and cleans parts and machinery as required.

Observes all company rules, regulations, and procedures such as safety and housekeeping

Maintains working area clean, organized and safe

Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices

Complies with all Manufacturing Procedures and Instruction applicable

Follow rules that apply to clean room

Responsible that his/her payroll clock punches are registered before entering or leaving, following and accepting company payroll policies

Responsible of performing as per Job Description?s SOP?s and work instructions

Attends all requested training or company meetings

May participate in internal committees as Safety, improvement events, etc. as required.

May be required to work during weekends, and/or holidays

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma (vocational mechanical/electrical studies preferred.).

Understands electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blue prints.

Minimum of one (1) year working in a medical device filters manufacturing environment.

Experience working in ISO 8 (class 100,000) environmental clean room.

Formal training in cGMP?s, ISO 9001, safety and quality

Must be technically, conversationally competent in Spanish and/or English.
