Job Description

Due to continued growth, the BrownWinick Law Firm is seeking a qualified patent attorney to join its Intellectual Property practice group. The ideal candidate will be registered with the federal patent bar and have at least two years of experience in preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Experience with copyrights and trademark registration and prosecution is a plus. Responsibilities include patentability analyses; drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications; licensing and transactional work; advising and counseling clients on various matters involving copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets; and working with other attorneys on litigation and transactional matters involving intellectual property. The ideal candidate must: be willing and able to practice in more than a single technical area, possess exceptional interpersonal and client relation skills, have a desire to continue learning, and have a sincere interest in working in Des Moines, Iowa.
