Insurance Coverage Senior Litigation Associate

Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate for its Boston office with 4 to 5 6-9 years of experience in the litigation and management of insurance coverage, extra-contractual and surety disputes. The work is exclusively on the insurer/surety company side, with a focus on construction related disputes. The ideal candidate would be proactive, motivated, possesses superior writing skills and have experience representing surety companies in contract and commercial surety matters and with a range of liability insurance coverage matters and extracontractual claims. Responsibilities Analysis and generation of advice regarding insurance coverage for underlying claims and litigation; Monitoring underlying litigation; Representing sureties in contract default and other surety matters, including in commercial and fiduciary disputes and with respect to loss recovery under indemnity agreements; Representing insurers and sureties in all phases of litigation, including: Preparation of pleadings Written, documentary and deposition discovery Motion practice Settlement Hearings and trial Appeals Education and Experience J.D. 2016 - 2021 from a reputable law school with excellent academic credentials; Admission to practice in Massachusetts (required); Admission to practice in other Northeastern states (not required, but a plus); Excellent academic credentials Relevant experience Skills and Ability Exceptional legal analysis, research, writing and communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills: Proficiency with document management and review systems and software Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects; Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
