SUMMARY:

  • This position includes 3 days of paid time off!
  • The IA position will work on all student days during the school calendar year.
  • The IA hourly rate is $20.00/hour

The Instructional Aide (IA) Duties Include:

  • Provide instructional assistance and support to students and professional staff.
  • Assist students in organizational skills as directed by teacher.
  • Guide students in activities which are designed and assigned by the teacher.
  • Supervise and assist students with all forms of technology.
  • Reinforce student education plans when necessary (504, IEP, GIEP, etc.)
  • Report and/or collect data for educational or behavioral reasons.
  • Provide clerical support as needed.
  • Supervise students as needed during all school functions.
  • Process and maintain confidential student records and information.
  • Assist with student testing and supervision of testing environments.
  • Schedule or organize meets as directed by teacher or supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by classroom teacher or supervisor .

Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPRIENCE:

  • Special Education Instructional Aide (IA) - Minimum of two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits)
  • Regular/General Instructional Aide (IA) - High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred

CREDENTIALING :

(Clearances current within 12 months)

  • Paid clearances & TB screening!
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
