India Senior Analyst, Process

Job description

I. Job Summary

Under general supervision, develop and design process automation tools and processes based on discovered or assigned process improvement projects. Develops requirements, plans tool interface and backend. Works with stakeholders to iteratively develop tools and processes to support and enhance overall department workflow, customer service, process improvement and work quality.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned

• Develop process automation tools and processes using VBA Excel Macros, Python, SQL, PowerBI, and other tools as needed (Access, etc.).
• Enhance and maintain existing VBA Excel Macros and other tools as needed.
• Work with stakeholders to uncover all requirements and develop iteratively towards a user accepted product.
• Develop tools that are easy to maintain and enhance over time.
• Address and find solutions to bugs and issues in VBA Macros, Python programs, SQL queries, PowerBI dashboards, etc. in a timely manner.
• Write documentation for new and existing process automation tools and processes.
• Assists in uncovering issues, evaluates various courses of action, and promotes the best option for resolution.
• Becomes aware on how to locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Acquires data from primary and secondary data sources and assists in analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Effectively use data visualization, in summaries and or dashboards to enhance translation of data and findings.
• Performs data profiling and root cause analysis to identify and understand anomalies.
• Aids in preparing reports on data summaries, changes, and trends for use by management. Works collaboratively to provide assessment and recommendations to management.
• Works to help resolve issues arising from internal department functions, or as brought forth by internal or external customers to assigned department.
• Tracks issues to resolution within department and in partnership with other groups.
• Monitors overall workflow to ensure timely completion of projects and daily work requirements.
• Assists with special projects within assigned department or as part of cross-functional teams as required or assigned.
• Works as part of a team to determine areas of risk as new or changed processes are implemented.

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or 1 and 5 years of relevant work experience in Business Administration or similar area of study.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Intermediate to Advanced development skill in VBA for Excel. Must be able to make moderately complex macros from start to finish using VBA including UI and backend.

• Must be able to make understandable code with good comments and design in a way that promotes future enhancements, easy bug-fixing, and code re-use.
• Requires intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Python software development.
• Basic to intermediate skills in SQL query development.
• Experience with git or similar version control system.
• Able to test and debug code independently.
• Able to design and build from a user perspective.
• Able to develop software independently based on a set of requirements.
• Able to design and build iteratively (Agile development).
• Comfortable reaching out for additional details if requirements are unclear and there is no obvious solution.
• Comfortable researching unknown topics and finding solutions to programming problems independently.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
• Inquisitive nature and unafraid to ask questions.
