Job Description


The City of Altoona is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Assistant to support the operations of the Human Resources Department. The successful candidate will assist with various administrative tasks, including employee record management, compliance with HR policies and procedures, preparing and editing correspondence, and analyzing data for reporting . This role requires strong technical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Requirements

Individuals must have a High School Diploma or equivalency; an Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have prior experience in an administrative or HR support role, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
