Job Purpose:

The hotel laundry attendant's primary responsibility is to ensure there is a contact supply of clean linens for hotel team members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

• Launder and maintain a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel and casino departments by washing mops, napkins, hotel linen, and rags.
• Maintains adequate supplies and maintains machines by keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment.
• Maintains a safe work area by keeping laundry room, storage areas, and loading dock clean, organized, and clear of debris.

Job Specifications:

Education and Experience:

Essential:

• 6 months of Hotel, Resort or Casino housekeeping and/or custodial experience

Desirable:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

• Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
• Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to reach, push, pull, kneel and bend
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to appear for work on time

Desirable:

• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety
• Multi-lingual
