Hospice Registered Nurse

WorkFit Medical Staffing is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality end-of-life care to patients in hospice settings, ensuring dignity and comfort for both patients and their families. Your expertise in palliative care will be essential in delivering holistic support throughout the hospice journey.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that emphasize comfort and quality of life.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring their effects on patient condition.
• Educate patients and families about end-of-life care options, symptom management, and emotional support resources.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care and support.
• Document all patient-related activities in compliance with hospice policies and regulations.
• Provide support and guidance to families during the grieving process.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, but an Associate's degree (ADN) is acceptable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathetic patient and family interactions.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and provide compassionate care in a challenging environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
