Job Description

Homestead serves Adolescents who are at risk for psychiatric inpatient hospitalization in a multi-faceted, comprehensive, community-based residential program.

Position Title: Homestead Overnight Residential Counselor
Position Type: Full Time; 35 Hours/Weekly; Overnight Shifts with Shift Differentials
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Location: Toms River, NJ
Department: Homestead
Salary: $17.00 Hourly

Responsibilities:

Provide direct supervision of adolescents
Provide supportive counseling, daily living skills, skills building, psychoeducational groups, recreation activities and transportation
Assist child with integration back to community setting
Responsible for behavior management plans
Supervise clients self-administering medication in conjunction with Doctor and Nurse

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related Human Services field (Social Work, Education, Criminal Justice) OR
Associate's Degree with one year of experience OR
High School Diploma with 3 years direct care experience in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting
