The associate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of intellectual property litigation matters concerning patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks, as well as post-grant proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, opinions, counseling, and transactions. This role is ideal for a candidate seeking to advance their career within an exciting and fast-paced high-tech litigation group. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and/or copyright litigation. An undergraduate or advanced degree, or industry experience, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or Physics is required. Outstanding legal research and analytical abilities, excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, a team player, and an interest in taking ownership of projects and increased levels of responsibilities for client matters are required. You must be admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing, and will need to be admitted to the D.C. Bar. Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office is preferred but not required. The position is based out of Washington DC with a hybrid work schedule. Rothwell Figg offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position is $235,000 to $310,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
