Heavy Equipment Mechanic

GAC Enterprises, LLC, a leading telecommunication construction company based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a multifaceted mechanic to join our team in our eastern market.The mechanic will be responsible for making sure that our vehicles and machinery aspects of construction are working efficiently while ensuring services are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety regulations. The ideal candidate for this position will be an excellent communicator, a strategic thinker, and a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality work.

Requirements

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers

Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials, including replacing

complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.

Drive and inspect vehicles on a routine basis to identify and resolve problems

Using tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic to complex vehicle diagnostics

Doing preventative maintenance repairs-like replacing or rotating tires-and completing vehicle component lubrication and

replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles

Working on other projects and tasks assigned by the supervisor

Keeping your work area clean and safe

Knowledge of Minnie excavators & horizontal drills is a plus

Tractor and Trailer maintenance background

Major and minor electrical with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot

Knowledge of Brake & Air Systems

Basic welding and fabrication

Some travel required
