Healthcare Solution Architect

As a Healthcare Solution Architect, you will leverage your deep healthcare domain expertise and technical acumen to design and implement innovative technology solutions that meet complex business needs in the health tech space. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions align with healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices while driving digital transformation and improving patient outcomes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze healthcare business requirements, workflows, and challenges to design effective technical solutions aligned with healthcare industry standards such as HL7, FHIR, and CDA.
• Develop comprehensive solution architectures that address both functional and non-functional requirements, including scalability, security, interoperability, and compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and GDPR.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, development, and operations to translate business needs into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Lead technical discussions and workshops with customers and internal teams to gather requirements, present solution options, and provide expert guidance on healthcare IT solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and integration methods to optimize healthcare data exchange and system performance.
• Oversee solution implementation and integration, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring successful deployment and adoption.
• Stay current with emerging healthcare technologies, standards, and regulatory changes to continuously improve solution offerings and maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare IT are a plus
• 7+ years of experience in solution architecture roles within healthcare or health tech industries, with proven domain expertise in healthcare data standards and workflows
• Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CDA) and healthcare data privacy and security regulations (HIPAA, GDPR)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software architecture patterns such as microservices and event-driven design
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and compliant healthcare IT solutions, including health information exchanges and electronic health records (EHR) integrations
• Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage complex projects, and influence strategic technology decisions

Preferred Skills:

• Coding experience in relevant programming languages to prototype and validate architectural components
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools
• Experience with healthcare analytics, population health management, or value-based care technology solutions.
