Lithos Carbonrevolutionizes the carbon capture industry through enhanced rock weathering technology. We work with farmers to spread basalt rock on farmland, which increases soil health and repurposes post-industrial waste. Our technology is aimed at removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at a fraction of the cost of other methods, while helping farmers improve crop yields. About The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Finance who will be a key architect of our financial strategy and growth. We need a dynamic leader who thrives on complex challenges, drives results relentlessly, and has a proven track record of building world-class financial operations. This role demands someone who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels with equal intensity, moving seamlessly from board-level strategy to detailed execution. This role will be instrumental in scaling Lithos from millions to billions in impact.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive our financial strategy, translating ambitious growth targets into detailed operational plans that will scale Lithos 10x year-over-year
• Build and lead an elite FP&A team that sets the standard for excellence in startup finance
• Develop sophisticated financial models that capture the complexity of carbon markets and agricultural operations while driving clear decision-making
• Manage reporting to our board and investors on financial matters, delivering compelling analyses
• Spearhead ambitious process automation and system implementation initiatives that can handle 10x growth
• Drive rapid experimentation in financial strategy, testing and iterating on new approaches to unit economics and scaling
• Lead high-stakes strategic initiatives around market expansion, pricing, and operational efficiency
• Deliver executive-level insights that shape company strategy through rigorous analysis and creative problem-solving

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A at top-tier organizations, with proven success scaling businesses 10x+
• Track record of building and leading high-performing teams in hypergrowth environments
• Expert-level financial modeling capabilities with the ability to rapidly build complex, flexible models
• MBA or equivalent experience preferred
• Demonstrated success implementing enterprise-grade financial systems and processes
• Experience presenting to boards and executive teams at decisive moments
• Deep understanding of startup metrics and dynamics
• Exceptional analytical capabilities with both strategic insight and attention to detail
• Background in heavy industries, agriculture, climate tech, or related fields is a plus
