Group Strategy Director

Planet Propaganda is looking for a seasoned, creatively-minded, integrated strategic thinker to lead our strategy team.

You'll bring a passion for solving brand challenges through innovative messaging strategies and first-rate communications plans. This is an opportunity to lead a team of brand strategists / researchers in a wide range of projects, from brand foundation / platform building, to consumer and category research, to creative brief writing, to communications and channel planning. Because we're a small-but-mighty team at a fiercely independent agency, you'll be able to mix it up with your group, both overseeing their work, and getting your hands dirty from time to time. This is a chance to affect the future direction of a well-supported and growing department, and nurture a team of talented, ambitious, and kind folks as they take on new challenges. In addition, this position has a seat on our leadership, helping drive new business and agency growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of agency experience and/or a strong marketing background
• Deep experience with digital channels and platforms
• Exceptional ability to uncover and develop meaningful and actionable insights
• Background in integrated channel planning: a keen understanding of the B2C customer journey and which strategies and tactics will win during each stage, and how to integrate them into a cohesive campaign
• Strong managerial experience and ability to nurture and mentor a team
• Responsible for department direction, profitability, and growth
• Exceptional presentation-building skills
• Ability to deliver compelling and persuasive internal and client-facing presentations
• Equal competency with brand, creative and digital campaign strategy
• A commitment to high quality work and building positive relationships with all
• Experience and interest in new business / pitch scenarios
• Confident and passionate in your areas of expertise
• An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to push for better solutions and work
