Job Description

Assists in all groundskeeping activities assigned, to include landscaping, lawn and plant care, pest control, greenhouse production, flowerbed maintenance, and related functions.

Requirements

Essential Duties:

Exhibits regular and punctual attendance.
Assists in landscaping activities as assigned.
Assists with farm and ranch activities as assigned.
Assists in lawn and plant care activities as assigned.
Assists with pest control activities as assigned.
Assists in providing training and direction for residents participating in horticulture activities, to include safety training.
Assists in maintaining equipment and shop area as assigned.
Maintains Greenhouse and planting activities.
Maintains all flowerbeds on campus activity buildings.
Scouting of insects, weeds, diseases and deficiencies of flowers and plants.
Assists in provision of education concerning care of flowers and plants.
Exhibits appropriate interaction with residents.

Job Specifications:

A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
Proficiency in general horticulture equipment operation is required.
Must possess exceptional time management and detail-oriented skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.
Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing
Must be available for travel as needed.
