Groundskeeper

Assists in all groundskeeping activities assigned, to include landscaping, lawn and plant care, pest control, greenhouse production, flowerbed maintenance, and related functions.

Requirements

Essential Duties:

• Exhibits regular and punctual attendance.
• Assists in landscaping activities as assigned.
• Assists with farm and ranch activities as assigned.
• Assists in lawn and plant care activities as assigned.
• Assists with pest control activities as assigned.
• Assists in providing training and direction for residents participating in horticulture activities, to include safety training.
• Assists in maintaining equipment and shop area as assigned.
• Maintains Greenhouse and planting activities.
• Maintains all flowerbeds on campus activity buildings.
• Scouting of insects, weeds, diseases and deficiencies of flowers and plants.
• Assists in provision of education concerning care of flowers and plants.
• Exhibits appropriate interaction with residents.

Job Specifications:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Proficiency in general horticulture equipment operation is required.
• Must possess exceptional time management and detail-oriented skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.
• Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing
• Must be available for travel as needed.

Qualification

High School or equivalent
