A world-renowned company specializing in desktop laser cutting and engraving technology is seeking its first General Manager to lead the U.S. market. The company offers a comprehensive range of high-quality laser engraving and cutting machines, known for innovation and excellence. This role presents a unique opportunity to be the first leader in the U.S. market, responsible for shaping the company's future in the region. The General Manager will oversee product promotion and operations in the U.S., as well as manage and expand a high-performing team. The work location may vary based on the company's strategy, which will be determined in collaboration with the new GM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build the team in the U.S from the ground up, including finding and setting up an office, recruiting staff, and establishing management systems.
  • Lead and manage the company's U.S. operations, focusing on both online and offline sales and operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive B2B2C market expansion and increase market share in the U.S.
  • Oversee the brand's operations in the U.S. market, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and strategies, with a focus on establishing the brands as more locally-adapted brands.
  • Foster strong relationships with key international stakeholders, partners, and customers to ensure long-term success.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, business development, or related fields within the technology or desktop equipment industry.
  • Relevant background in technical education such as physics, mechanical engineering, electronics, or working experience in related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals.
  • Passionate about our products, aligns with the company's cultural values and purpose-driven approach, practical and diligent, with a strong growth mindset.
  • Experience in managing both online and offline sales and operations is preferred.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or above
  • 10+ years of working experience in a relevant field, with a track record of success in sales, marketing, business development, or related areas.
  • Prior experience in a managerial role, with demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Possesses exceptional self-motivation and strong initiative, enabling efficient development of the U.S. team and expansion of U.S. business operations.
  • Demonstrates excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for technology and a deep understanding of the American small business and DIY enthusiast markets.
