Functional Test Engineer

Staff4Me is currently seeking a talented and experienced Functional Test Engineer to join our team. As a Functional Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous testing and analysis. You will work closely with the development team to identify and report defects, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experience.

• Design and execute test cases to validate software functionality.
• Document and analyze test results, and report and track defects using bug tracking systems.
• Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot reported defects.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Conduct functional, regression, and system testing to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies in functional testing.
• Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Functional Test Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools.
• Experience in functional, regression, and system testing.
• Knowledge of SQL and ability to write complex queries to analyze databases.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools, such as Selenium or Cucumber.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
