Frontend Lead Developer

The Lead Mobile Developer is responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of Paxful's mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, a passion for mobile development, and a proven ability to manage and mentor a high-performing team. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, backend, and QA, to ensure Paxful's mobile apps deliver seamless and innovative user experiences while maintaining scalability, security, and performance.

The Frontend Lead Developer is responsible for leading the design and development of user-facing applications that support Paxful's global P2P marketplace. This role requires deep expertise in frontend technologies, experience managing small but high-performing teams, and a hands-on approach to development. You'll work closely with product managers, backend developers, mobile teams, and blockchain engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure web solutions.

What will you do:

• Lead the development of web-based applications using React, Typescript, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features aligned with the product roadmap.
• Implement best practices for frontend development, including code reviews, testing, and performance optimization.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend APIs and other services, maintaining high standards for user experience.
• Manage technical debt while prioritizing scalable architecture and maintainable code.
• Build and maintain reusable components, libraries, and patterns to accelerate development across teams.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of Paxful's platform.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve testing coverage.
• Work with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel-perfect interfaces that meet design requirements.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of frontend development experience, including team leadership.
• Proven experience with React, Typescript, JavaScript ES6+, and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
• Experience with integration and development of RESTful APIs.
• Expertise in optimizing frontend performance and debugging complex web applications.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of deployment strategies and tools like GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
• A solid understanding of testing strategies for frontend code.

Recommended Skills:

• Experience with mobile-friendly web development and responsive design.
• Knowledge of Web3.js or similar libraries for blockchain integration.
• Familiarity with analytics and user behavior tracking tools.
• Experience working in fintech or cryptocurrency platforms.
