Freelance CAD Designer

BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names, such as Ted Baker, Vince Camuto, CeCe, 1.state and Parker.

Main functions:

We are looking for a freelance CAD designer to join our team at our office in Midtown Manhattan. We are looking for someone driven and comfortable meeting strict deadlines. We have worked to provide women of many ages in a range of sizes with a fashion-forward wardrobe at a reasonable price, with the best quality. Our attention to detail and value is our main goal.

Responsibilities:

• Creating original artwork from scratch and manipulating purchased artwork.
• Creating colorways and repeats.
• Pitching artwork and working with Pantone colors
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prints at one time

Requirements

• Must have minimum of 5-10 years of CAD experience
• Strong problem-solving and execution skills. Operationally-minded.
• Detailed oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize and shift focus as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to write succinct messages and communicate clearly
• Proficient in Photoshop, illustrator, Excel, Outlook
• Organized and can work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work with several different designers at once

This is a temporary role expected to last at least 3 months offering a rate of $50-$75/hour dependent upon experience level.
