For one of our clients, we are looking for a Fraud Analyst, remotely from the United States.

As a Fraud Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and preventing fraudulent activity across various financial institutions. You will use fraud detection tools to monitor transactions and account activities, ensuring any suspicious behavior is quickly identified and addressed. The role involves working cross-functionally with internal and external teams to investigate fraud incidents, document findings, and make recommendations for improvements to prevent future occurrences. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply your fraud detection experience in a dynamic, remote work environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Monitor and analyze transactions to detect suspicious or fraudulent activity.
  • Utilize fraud detection tools to proactively prevent fraud.
  • Document fraud trends, loss events, and unauthorized activity related to various payment methods (e.g., debit/credit cards, ACH, P2P, bill payments).
  • Investigate customer claims and chargeback eligibility, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams to maintain efficient fraud-related processes.
  • Provide insights on emerging fraud trends and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Some college education, preferably in Business, Criminal Justice, or Finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in fraud detection, investigation, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection tools such as Verafin or DataVisor is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution or fintech environment.
  • Fraud certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote setting.
